More Sharing...

Some more sharing!
I received some great stuff from Glenda over at Peppercorn Minis a while back, and it's well overdue for some blogging attention J.

Here are some of the minis that I received (there was a whole lot more in the package than just minis!). My ever so generous friend Glenda sent over not only items that I had ordered, but also included wonderful gifts!

First is this gorgeous mushroom themed rug.
I can't even begin to tell you how soft it is! If it was life-sized, I could curl up on it and fall asleep J. There are many rugs in Glenda's Etsy Shop, I highly recommend checking them out!

Then there is this perfect little bottle. Just look at the netting! And can you see that tiny feather? Just perfect!
I distinctly remember someone buying these up like crazy, now I know why! These are also available in Glenda's Etsy Shop.

Then there are these beautiful baskets. My favorite Halloween colors! I want to fill these with Halloween candies and treats, as soon as I get a free minute J
I remember loving these when I first saw them, now I am so lucky to have 2! Thanks Glenda!!!

Oh and look at this tiny medieval pouch! I'm telling you, Glenda has got magical fingers!
I think I would have gone crazy trying to keep that perfect bunching while still making it look so good.

Ooooo, and look at all the feathers Glenda sent! So many great patterns and colors and sizes!
Glenda recently did a blog post about trimming feathers, I will definitely be spending some time on that!

And just what a girl always wanted... thin leather!!! I can think of so many uses for these!
First things first, some wand sheaths/scabbards. Maybe I can use some for the interior of my steampunk wandbox... we'll see J.

My husband confiscated all the non-mini treasures that Glenda included for himself so I can't show you pictures of those, but I can show you what is on it's way back to lovely New Zealand....

Among other things that I'm not showing because I don't want to ruin the surprise, are some of my more popular minis and some new items.

Some drippy wax candles.
I accidentally took this picture before I blackened the candle tips, so just imagine that part done J.

Then some of my rustic wands.

And some of the dragon scrolls that I have been making.
From left to right: Dragon Classifications, Dragon Anatomy, and just plain old Dragons.

Now these little critters were so fiddly to work on. Barn Owl eggs. They are supposed to be just around 1/8" tall, I think mine went a smidgen over. I think I got the bone color right though.

Last but not least... Mistletoe sprigs.  I hope these are what you wanted Glenda J.
I was really happy with how they turned out in the end, they went through quite a transformation in their assembly process. These are clay, I haven't tried making paper plants or flowers yet.

Well that's it, the rest is a surprise and you'll have to keep an eye on Glenda's blog to see what it is J.

I'll be doing some posts on some of my new wand designs in a few hours (it's still midday here), so keep your eyes peeled J!

Wands and Scrolls for Etsy...

Just wanted to let everyone know that I have wands and scrolls in my Etsy store. They are the same designs as before, I just re-made a few of each while working on other orders. (Glenda, still working on your order... but you'll be happy when you get it I promise!)

Also, I have designed a new steampunk wand and box (still working on a stand design for this one), and I will be showcasing it here on my blog in a few days. I'm so excited, I love steampunk and this will be my first steampunk mini. It's totally an original design too, so I can't wait to build it and show everyone!

And one more thing, to all my new and old followers... I have tried getting totally caught up with you guys and I have been signing up to follow all your blogs (aren't you proud of me :)). There may be a few that I have missed and I know there are a few who's blogs I couldn't find. Leave me your blog address in the comments of this post and I will promptly go sign up :).

Books and Scrolls

Hello everyone! Lots and lots of new followers! Only 11 away from 100! Giveaway season approaches... :)
I've had a design for a special mini in mind, I'll try to get myself in gear so I can make it for the giveaway. (Hint - it can hold other minis)
---------------------------------
Now on to what I've been doing.
I re-created the scrolls I made a few posts back, I'll be listing these on Etsy within a few hours. I know, I know, the gold one's holder is too big... I hate it too. But who ever buys it is going to have to deal with it because I made it at 3am and now I'm grouchy from not enough sleep.
Said with a smile of course!
If anyone wants to save me the listing fees, let me know. You know me, they're really cheap!

Now books...
I love how these are turning out, but I have a lot of fixing I need to do. Some aspects just aren't quite right.
This mushroom one is my favorite! I need to fix the moss though, I want the mushroom more centered and the stem to be straight instead of slightly curvy.
I also need to fix the binding so it opens better. It's loaded with 20+ mushrooms.

My photo of this one isn't the best. The flower has subtle orange shades to it and all around better color.
This one is filled with herbs and their magical properties. 30 pages.

This next one is filled with crystals and stones.
I don't like the cover, but I love the insides!

These next ones are a pair.
One is all about Talismans. Gives pictures and information.
The other, Pentacles. This one just has pictures and only on one side.

Then I have two more that don't have covers yet.
Some sneak peeks of the Astrology book...
Some chapter title pages:

I have more books I need to make, had to take a few days off for the family (they're so needy! :) ). I have to hurry and finish these and make 3 more while I start on some spooky things for another order... Time flys when you're making minis!

I have some wand boxes, bottles, tombstones, and skulls in their base forms (no paint yet). If you want some, let me know. Painting is quick :).

Scrolls, a book stand, and so much more!

I have a great order I'm working on, it's got some great pieces to it! Not to mention creative freedom :).

Some mushrooms like the ones I made for the potion cabinets, and some new brown ones.

More fancy wands.

And more rustic wands.

Some decorative candles, these were a challenge!

Some plain scrolls.

A book stand with a nature theme. I think next time I will add some shelf mushrooms to it. Maybe orange ones to add some color.

Some fancy scrolls, these are a new style for me. What do you think?

Here are some close ups of the fancy scrolls:
Love this bone one with the skeleton hand, hope it's not too creepy for my customer.

A few dragon scrolls to keep the magic theme :).

A potions scroll.

A spell craft scroll.

A scroll all about wands.

This next one is my favorite. It's a Zodiac scroll, picture doesn't do it justice. Maybe if you click on it you can see some of the details.

This next one is a real looker! it opens up to inches and inches of divination information.

That's it for today. More book stands with different themes, more candles, and books coming soon.

What I've been working on... well some of it anyway :)

Before I say anything, let me say that these pictures are not so great. Lighting is bad and I didn't have time to get artificial light set up. I'm sooo busy! And I'm so sorry! Not only have I taken such a long time since my last post, but now I give you crappy pictures... it's a wonder I still have followers! XD

I've been working on some more charms, those bracelets I showed you before. They are my steady income right now but they are so time consuming. I've been running behind on everything else because of them. So... Kate and Emily, thanks for being so patient!

The pictures I have here are part of a package that will be going to Kate of The Whittaker's Miniatures and her daughter Emily of Emily Claire Fashions. Kate wanted plain pumpkins and pumpkins with faces, I just loved making the faces!

They both wanted skulls, Emily wanted a skull inkwell like on the Merlin show. I loved the idea so much that I cut the top off another skull and stuck some scrolls in there. Hope you girls like it! I'm also providing an assortment of feathers for quills. The white one in the skull has a pen attachment with a gold nib. You can kind of see it better in the picture after this one, kind of. When I was making the skull inkwell I was experimenting with the size and molded a small skull that I'm sending some casts of, I think I remember Kate and Lola getting inventive with skulls and books :).

Kate wanted some tombstones for a project she's working on, she picked some of my favorites. Again, sorry the lighting is so bad. It makes the colors look all wrong :(. They are actually gray and black, looks like a cement or stone finish. And Kate wanted the tree, I love that tree!

I still have quite a few things to finish up for them, it's about 9am here so I plan to spend the day working on it all. The best part about this all is that I get to make things I love, and send them to great people that I know will love them, and it gets me away from those darn bracelets for a while! XD

I've had my daughter Marie working on something special for Kate's other daughter Lola of Princess Lola's Miniature Diary, it's going to be quite lovely! Can't wait to show it!

Ladies, I'll have your package sent off this week, I promise!
