New Wands & Boxes for Etsy

I made some new wand boxes in some new colors and I added some hand drawn designs to the box tops as well.

I made the wands to match the boxes. They aren't new wand designs, just new colors.

Sorry about the shine on the designs, can't ever seem to get my photo work right :).

Here are some close ups, I have many more pictures for each wand and box that I'll post on Etsy when I list these.

I think this gold one looks almost royal. The wand is sitting in red velvet lining.

The green and orange ones are my favorite! So halloweeny!

This blue one almost looks wintery.

After doing the lid design on this one, I wished I had made the wand square-ish to complete that art deco look. The lining is black velvet for this one.

Okay, I might get to some candles for Etsy but I might not. I have some gifts to work on and orders to ship out, then I have to get started on the books. I'm hoping to start on the books on Tuesday, so I better hurry!

Bone Scrolls on Etsy!

I managed to make 5 bone scrolls and list them on Etsy. I've got wand boxes and candles in the works but I'm going to bed now, it's 2am for me :).

Wand Boxes

Some wand boxes I made for the big order that I'm still working on...

Some of the original design.

These are clay with a wood look to them, darkened to make them look old. The linings are green in one and a sheer silver/gray in the other.

And some of the new design.

This one is a plumy purple with a light sheer purple ribbon and a black velvet lining. The lid is a metallic silver. Camera doesn't show the colors and shimmer at their best, sorry.

This one came out better than I planned! It's got a sheer black ribbon with an orange ribbon lining. The bottom box is black and the top is orange with some hand drawn decor.

I'm going to make things for Etsy now before I move on to the 'books' section of the order. The books are going to keep me busy once I get started so I guess it's now or never.

My lawn is never going to get mowed! :)

Book Stands and Candles

It's taken me longer than I wanted with this one. I got it built pretty quick but I didn't know what paint job to give it. I ended up going with browns, they are my safety colors :).

Can't really tell in the photos but the trim is all a lighter brown.

Imagine the decorations you can place on the shelves!

Celtic design is a favorite of my customer so I incorporated some here.

This one I had in my minds eye for a while.

I wanted an open design, almost defying gravity. Very whimsical.

The crystal ball was a must, so I had to make the part that holds the book so that it wouldn't detract from the view below.

And I wanted a magical, stardust look to it.

Although every time I look at it I also get a circus feel :), maybe it's the colors.

And of course many candles. More tapered candles and some votives too.

Now it's off to wand boxes for the wands you saw earlier, then off to books. It's about 9pm here right now and I never got to making bone scrolls for Etsy like I wanted to, that book stand stalled me for a day. I'll see if I can squeeze some in tonight or tomorrow.

I have a great order I'm working on, it's got some great pieces to it! Not to mention creative freedom :).

Newspapers

Some long awaited gifts on their way to Janice and Michelle. As soon as the post office opens on Monday I'll be sending these off. Hope you like them ladies, you are each getting a set like this.

Feels good to finally start getting caught up!

Kate and Emily's package is in the mail!

I got to the post office 5 minutes before the doors were locked and got Kate and Emily's package in the mail. You should receive it soon ladies! I showed some of the items in my last post and I have pictures of the rest of the items to show you all, but I'm saving the items my daughter made for Lola as a surprise :).

Here is the full spread of the second batch of items. The colors in my camera are a bit on the orange-y side, sorry.

I had fun making the candles, so I went ahead and made some tapered candles too. And one of the sage sticks was a little large so I made a smaller one, but I threw them both in the package. I swear the candles are not that orange-y!

Kate wanted some bottles like the ones I made for the altar table. I know you only wanted 6 but I say the little ones don't count so I made 8 :).

And can you see the badger skull in the pile? I love this thing, of course I love skulls in general but this one is my favorite! Took extra photos of it :)

And don't let me forget these, they came out great!
